Arrival

Getting to Malta:

Arriving in St Julian’s via Malta International Airport (MLA), located in Luqa, around 20 to 30 minutes by road from the St Julian’s area:

  • Taxi: official white taxis operate from a rank outside Arrivals. Pay at the fixed-fare desk inside the Arrivals Hall and hand the receipt to the driver. Roughly €20 to €30 to St Julian’s, depending on the exact destination.
  • Bolt/eCabs: the most convenient door-to-door option, typically €12 to €25 depending on demand. eCabs also allows advance bookings, which is useful for late arrivals. The pickup point is outside Arrivals.
  • Bus: Malta Public Transport (Tallinja) runs airport express services serving the Sliema and St Julian’s coast. The journey takes around 40 to 55 minutes, with a single ticket costing roughly €2 to €3. Service is reduced late at night, so we recommend a taxi if you land after 22:00. Check the Tallinja app for current routes and timetables.

Please note:
  • Bus routes, frequencies and prices are subject to change.
  • Traffic around Marsa can add time on weekday mornings and afternoons.
  • Detailed directions to the venue will be shared once confirmed.

Schedule at a glance

The programme starts on the morning of 15 November and closes on the evening of 17 November with a networking dinner with mentors and VCs. The dinner is a key part of the programme; we suggest departing on 18 November.
