About the training
This two-day training course offers a hands-on introduction to open-source analog IC design, guiding participants through a full schematic-to-post-layout workflow. On Day 1, participants will learn how open-source IC design fits within the semiconductor ecosystem and explore PDKs. They will also characterise MOS devices and design and verify a CMOS inverter through DC,transient and PVT simulations. Day 2 focuses on physical implementation, including layout, DRC,LVS, parasitic extraction, post-layout simulation and reproducible design flows.

About the training
This course teaches RTL design with C++-based high-level synthesis methodology, improving productivity over manual RTL coding. We use the Siemens Catapult HLS tool to implement and verify FPGA-targeted designs, but the learned methods scale also to other HLS tools and ASICs.
Prequisities: Basics of digital design (combinational and sequential logic, state machines) At least intermediate C++ skills
